Founded by conductor and creative producer Jason Thornton, Crescent Music brings together artistic excellence, innovative thinking and collaborative leadership.
HOW WE WORK
Crescent Music places music in dialogue with contemporary thought, creating live experiences that combine performance, conversation and storytelling. We work with writers, thinkers and cultural voices alongside performers to explore the questions shaping our time, bringing artistic ambition and intellectual curiosity together in shared space.
Collaboration sits at the heart of our approach. We develop projects in partnership with festivals, venues, education providers, civic organisations and sponsors, building ambitious work that is outward-facing, collaborative and rooted in lasting cultural value.
JASON THORNTON
FounderJason Thornton is a conductor, creative producer and music leader with over 25 years’ experience creating ambitious musical experiences across performance, education and community practice. He has led major orchestral and festival projects, developed inclusive music programmes working with young people and communities, and built strong partnerships across the cultural sector. Through Crescent Music he brings together artistic excellence, innovative thinking and collaborative leadership to create work that connects people and ideas through music
